There are 117 IB Schools in Mexico. Only 19 schools offer the full IB Continuum (PYP, MYP, and DP) and 9 of them are located in Mexico City.

IB Primary Years Programme (PYP):

Westhill, Santa Fe Primary is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Program (PYP). The PYP begins in Kinder and continues through grade five. Students and teachers design units of inquiry around six transdisciplinary themes. These units align in order to create the school’s Program of Inquiry (POI). The POI is a concept-based curriculum designed for students to develop independence in learning, 21st century skills, and international-mindedness through the IB Learner Profile.

IB Middle Years Programme (MYP):

Westhill is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. In Middle and High School, we offer the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) in grades 6 through 10 and the IB Diploma Program (DP) in grades 11 and 12. The MYP continues to build critical thinking and problem solving skills through an academically rigorous interdisciplinary approach using six global contexts as the organizing themes of the curriculum. MYP students in their final year explore an area of personal interest over an extended period. This is called the Personal Project and it provides them the opportunity to consolidate their learning and develop important skills they’ll need in both further education and life beyond the classroom. It also helps them develop the confidence to become principled, lifelong learners.

IB Diploma Programme (DP):

The DP is a two-year pre- university program that aims to integrate rich content knowledge with sophisticated problem solving skills. IB Diploma Program students are not reluctant to tackle difficult tasks with an eye to success. Students in the Diploma Program are eligible to take a series of evaluations at the end of grade 12 which may result in students being awarded the prestigious IB Diploma.
